DR CV

YOUR INFORMATION

Your career. Your control.

Privacy information for the DR CV V2 résumé workspace. Updated 29 September 2026.

Analysis without an account

You can analyse a CV before signing up. Choosing Analyse sends the extracted CV text, including personal information within it, to AWS Bedrock for feedback. PDFs are read on your device; Word documents are extracted by our API. Remove information you do not need reviewed. We do not publish your CV or contact employers.

A private browser cookie gives you access to an encrypted temporary copy of the CV and result for up to one hour. Clear my temporary result removes that copy sooner. The original uploaded file is not retained. Short-lived browser and hashed network counters help limit abuse. Only choosing Save to my account after signing in adds the CV and assessment to your private workspace; saved account records follow the retention policy below.

AI assessment

When you choose Assess this CV or send CV ASSESS from a linked WhatsApp account, DR CV saves your current edits and sends the résumé’s career-content sections to AWS Bedrock to produce your assessment. This is the action that starts analysis; opening an editor or preview does not run it. Separate contact fields and sign-in details are excluded from the assessment input. Any personal information you put inside career-content sections is included, so avoid unnecessary sensitive details.

Assessment results are stored against your account and are not published by this workspace. AI feedback can be inaccurate: check suggested wording against your actual experience. DR CV does not automatically apply suggestions or submit your résumé to employers.

Career writing and interview practice

CV conversations retain your requests and audited replies privately in your account. Each reply uses the selected saved CV, the fixed role context and bounded excerpts from the latest three exchanges. Earlier assistant suggestions are not treated as facts about your experience. Replies do not change your CV; you must review and explicitly save wording. Deleting a conversation removes its replies, while generation idempotency receipts remain for up to 30 days to prevent duplicate requests. Unsent messages and proposed wording stay in tab memory until you send, apply or discard them.

Interview sessions store the questions and answers you save, role context, reflections and coaching privately in your account. Coaching requests send the saved answer and selected CV’s career content to AWS Bedrock. Reports review written content only, not your delivery or hiring likelihood. Earlier coaching is flagged after answer, role-context or CV-version changes. Deleting a session removes its saved answers and associated coaching; your CV is not deleted.

When you request a draft, DR CV sends the selected CV’s career-content sections, your target description and your request to AWS Bedrock for writing and a separate factual audit. Separate contact and authentication fields are excluded. Drafts, cautions and job descriptions are private account records. AI checks reduce errors but cannot guarantee factual accuracy: review all wording before applying, exporting or sending it. These tools do not send letters, contact employers or submit applications.

Writing edits remain in tab memory as you navigate the dashboard. Use Save edits to retain them after closing the tab. Target keywords and immediate editor checks run without a model call. Optional audio practice asks for microphone permission and records locally for playback; recordings are not uploaded, transcribed or retained by the service, and closing or refreshing the page discards them.

Saved résumés and original history

Saved drafts, contact details, additional sections, selected templates and assessments are stored in the V2 service. They are not automatically erased after 24 hours. Original documents are read from the existing DR CV platform; making an editable copy does not overwrite that source. Removing a draft and saving removes it from your current workspace, but is not a complete erasure of associated assessments, recovery snapshots or backups. Use the privacy-request contact in the main policy for full access or deletion requests.

Workspace saves capture recovery snapshots before and after edits. Version history exposes up to 40 revisions from the previous 30 days; older snapshots are pruned during a subsequent workspace save. Recovery creates a new copy, not an overwrite. Saved career items remain until you delete them or request account erasure. Generation request receipts are retained for retry protection and pruned after 30 days during subsequent generation activity. Manual job-tracker stages are your own notes, not verified employer submission records.

LinkedIn and document imports

V2 can arrange profile text you paste or extract from a PDF you select. PDFs are processed on your device; when you choose to organise the text, it is sent to the DR CV API. No LinkedIn password, browser session or account connection is requested. V2 does not fetch a LinkedIn URL or synchronise your profile. Review imported information before saving it.

WhatsApp

Connecting is optional and uses a short-lived, one-use link from your signed-in workspace. We store a keyed hash and masked suffix of your phone number, your selected draft and recent delivery receipts to prevent duplicate changes. WhatsApp messages pass through Meta and Twilio. Section commands update the selected saved draft; you can disconnect in your workspace or send CV DISCONNECT. Reply receipts are retained for up to seven days. Do not send passwords, financial details or unnecessary sensitive information. Attachments are not imported through this integration.

Employer applications and communities

When you explicitly submit an application, the employer receives a saved snapshot of the selected CV, its contact details and your note. Other CVs and assessments remain private. Your Applications page shows the recorded status and lets you withdraw; withdrawal removes the shared copy from the employer workspace but cannot recall copies already taken outside DR CV. Community and campus invitations record your membership and show the host a joined total, not your CV, assessment or contact details. V2 joins do not automatically create paid-referral rewards.

Service providers and your rights

V2 uses AWS infrastructure and Bedrock, self-hosted PostgreSQL for workspace storage, DR CV-operated Better Auth for V2 sign-in, Neon for original-platform history, Cloudflare for delivery, and Twilio/Meta when you choose WhatsApp. See the main DR CV privacy policy for contact details, account information and how to exercise your rights. This page describes V2-specific behaviour where it differs from the original product. Scout has a separate product journey; this page does not authorise job applications or connector access.
